  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sweet potatoes: Wash and dry the sweet potatoes. Use a vegetable peeler to remove the skin. Cut the potatoes into cylinders and then into even 1/2–3/4 inch cubes.
  2. Season: Place the cubed sweet potatoes in a medium mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil. In a small bowl, mix paprika, garlic powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle this seasoning mixture over the potatoes and toss well to coat everything evenly.
  3. Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F. If it has no preheat option, run it empty for 2-3 minutes to warm up the basket.
  4. Air fry the sweet potatoes: Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the sweet potatoes in an even single layer in the basket. Shake to distribute them evenly. Cook for 14-17 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway through. For small air fryers, cook in batches.
  5. Serve: After cooking, turn off the air fryer and let the sweet potatoes rest inside for 3-5 minutes to crisp up further. Serve warm and enjoy this flavorful, crispy side dish.
