Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 2 cups cooked shredded or chopped chicken
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup softened cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon dried parsley

Wraps

  • 4 large flour tortillas

Garlic Butter

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

Optional Vegetables

  • Baby spinach, shredded lettuce, or sliced tomatoes (as desired)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked shredded chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, shredded mozzarella cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and chopped parsley. Mix thoroughly until the filling is creamy and cohesive.
  2. Assemble the wraps: Lay the flour tortillas flat on a clean surface. Spoon approximately one-quarter of the prepared filling into the center of each tortilla. If desired, add optional baby spinach, shredded lettuce, or sliced tomatoes on top of the filling. Fold the sides of each tortilla inward, then roll tightly from the bottom to form a secure wrap.
  3. Brush with garlic butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with the minced garlic. Generously brush the outside of each wrap with this garlic butter mixture to enhance flavor and help with toasting.
  4. Toast the wraps: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place each wrap seam-side down to prevent unfolding. Toast for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until the wraps are golden brown and crisp, and the cheese inside has melted completely.
  5. Serve: Remove the wraps from the skillet, slice each in half for easy eating, and serve warm. Pair with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as ranch dressing or garlic aioli, for extra flavor.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, use whole wheat tortillas instead of white flour tortillas.
  • You can substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a lighter alternative.
  • Wraps can be made ahead of time and refrigerated before toasting; just add garlic butter and toast before serving.
  • Feel free to customize the filling by adding cooked bacon bits or different herbs such as cilantro or basil.
  • If you prefer a spicier wrap, add some red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the filling mixture.
